Midlife
Crisis Band
In
1985 a group of friends in Los Angeles found themselves
staring at midlife, that time when men buy sports cars
or chase aerobics instructors, and women resort to face
lifts and tarot cards. But these guys-a business executive,
a teacher, two writers, a waiter, a hairstylist and an
actor-confronted midlife with "Rock & Roll". Arming themselves
with electric guitars, they formed a band. Instead of
pouting they partied. Playing first for family and friends
in garages and at holiday gatherings, they graduated to
dance clubs and concert halls. When Midlife Crisis wails,
"I Can't Get No Satisfaction", dance floors fill and stay
filled, prompting ABC News to label them "L.A.'s Hottest
Party Band". We'll be right back with Stu Wolpert and
Fast Freddy Rapillo of MidLife Crisis right after these
brief messages. |
